A splash of colour
The kitchen is moving on now. We've put the window sills on, given the walls a lick of paint - well, a good few licks on the end (2 shades of milky coffee and a good helping of chocolate brown...yummy!) - hoping that we've covered the right bits of visible wall once the units are on. Finally we've hardboarded the floor to try to cover up some of the bigger lumps and bumps ready for whatever flooring we finally put down. So that's it now, bring on the kitchen!

Almost a kitchen
We may have been quiet recently on the blog, but things have still been going on. We've finally got a delivery date for the kitchen, so work has been focussed on getting the room ready. After we knocked back all the bad plaster and render from the walls we had to start plaster-boarding the walls again to make them back up. We called in another favour and Gareth came round to help Chris board the whole room out - all bar one small wall which survived the knock back.
As a small addendum...yes, that is our actual washing machine, and yes, that is where we do the washing up - despite the sink not being plumbed in anymore. Ho hum, not long now.
